Kjex is an easy to use, no pointless bells-and-whistles way to run online promotional campaigns that will help you build a mailing list in exchange for giving away any digital file.

Kjex costs just £25 (+ VAT where applicable) per campaign to build up a list of 1000 people (or 'fans' as we call them). This allowance can be easily increased by purchasing further credits at any time.

Jonquil: giving away music

About to embark on a tour of the United Kingdom, Jonquil wanted some way to publicise it and to let people know what they sound like. They decided that to do this they should give away an mp3 file of one of their songs.

They ran their Kjex campaign for the two months leading up to and including their tour, and in that time hundreds of fans signed up to receive the free track.

Now they have a mailing list of fans they can contact before their next tour and publicise their upcoming releases to.

Ferment: giving away a zine

Ferment is a quarterly non-profit zine combining original creative writing with complementary illustrations.

They are now building up a mailing list of people they can notify whenever they publish a new issue. To do this Ferment gave away a PDF of their first issue as an incentive to sign up and to encourage people to buy future issues in print.

How Kjex works
